White Corundum Abrasives

White corundum abrasive, also called white aluminium oxide, has good thermal stability, high temperature resistance above 1750 degrees, high purity, good self-sharpening, strong grinding ability, low calorific value, high efficiency and acid-base corrosion resistance. It has proven itself in many fields. Different specifications of white corundum abrasives have different usages.

Usually, the specifications of white corundum abrasives are 4-6 mesh, 12 mesh, 16 mesh, 24 mesh, 36 mesh, 46 mesh, 60 mesh, 80 mesh, 120 mesh, 150 mesh, 200 mesh, 300 mesh higher to even 2000 mesh.  Among them, the model 4-6 is also called segment sand, 46 mesh and 60 mesh are grain sand, and the particle size above 240 mesh is called micro powder, which is our common model starting with W. The larger the particle size number, the finer the white corundum.
The particle size of white corundum abrasives is different for various usage and sandblasting industry uses it widely. Usually, the common sizes are 24 mesh, 36 mesh, and 46 mesh. It is  determined according to the nozzle diameter of the sandblasting machine, and the  hole blocking should not occur  due to the appropriate particle size selection. Sandblasting pays more attention to hardness. The coarser the grain size of white corundum, the higher the hardness, and the better the sandblasting effect.

White corundum abrasive can also be used for the production of abrasive tools. Common white corundum grinding wheel uses 24 mesh, 36 mesh and 46 mesh, etc.  The common white  abrasive grinding blocks are 100 mesh, 120 mesh, 150 mesh, 180 mesh and so on. Of course, white corundum micro powder also has higher-grade applications:  precision casting. Usually, the following micro powders are used,  W63, W28, W14, W7 and W5, etc.
