Under the” two-carbon target”,China is advocating energy conservation and emission reduction in the steel industry, gradually advancing from easy to difficult. In the short term, we will focus on macro-control to reduce production. In the medium term, we should adjust the process structure, increase the application of scrap steel, coordinate the proportion of steelmaking in the long and short processes, and focus on structural optimization such as mergers and reorganizations within the industry. In the long term, it will change the high-carbon emission pattern of the steel industry through breakthrough technological changes in low-carbon metallurgy.
