Victoria Day

Victoria Day is one of the 12 public holidays stipulated by Canadian law, even in Quebec Province. However, the Quebec Provincial Assembly has long decided to change the name of this holiday to "Patriot Day", which is also to commemorate the occurrence of 1837. British Canadians and French Canadians who died against colonial rule in the "Lower Canada Rebellion" (Quebec Province Rebellion Movement).
