India s epidemic is on the verge of getting out of control

India's Ministry of health released epidemic data on the morning of the 23rd, showing that more than 330000 cases were newly diagnosed in the past 24 hours, reaching 332730 cases, setting a new record in a single day since the outbreak in the country and the world.
 
According to Singapore s Lianhe Zaobao website on April 23, Indian scientists tweeted on April 20 that a second dual variant b.1.618 has been found in India and is currently under further study. This is the second double variant virus strain found in India after b.1.617 virus strain.
