Steels, etc. are Austempered after quenching (to obtain bainite)
The results show that the lower bainite is obtained to enhance the strength, hardness, toughness, wear resistance and plasticity of the steel; the deformation is small, the hardness is high and the toughness is good; after austempering, it is generally unnecessary to temper; while the low carbon steel shot is obtained after austempering, and the low carbon steel shot is generally bainite structure.
