"White Day" originated in Rome in the third century. On February 14th, the Roman emperor rescued a pair of lovers who were to be executed for violating the ban on love and marriage. The Roman emperor set up Valentine's Day to commemorate this day. One month later, on March 14, the rescued lovers swore that their love affair would last until their deaths. In order to commemorate this day, they were designated as White Day. And this festival began to spread from Europe to other parts of the world.
 
Since "White Day" originated in Europe, Europeans have had a certain history of "White Day" and have formed a fairly mature custom. According to legend, on February 14, boys gave girls gifts (usually roses and chocolates). After a month of consideration and investigation, by March 14th, if a girl gives a boy a gift (generally a handmade cookie), it means that the girl recognizes the boy and can fall in love.
